Form of Kali Mata: -

In this temple Kali Mata's fierce and ferocious form will be seen and there is a garland of Narmundo in the neck of Kali Mata and long tongue has come out which is made of gold and some drops of blood are present in the tongue and Mata Kali is the name of Lord Shiva. She is standing with her feet on her chest.

Story of idol:-

It is said by the priests of the temple that once upon a time Kali Mata became very angry and would kill anyone who came in front of her. To calm this anger, Lord Shiva lay down in front of Mata Kali and Mata Kali angrily After coming, she put her foot on the chest of Lord Shiva, then in a few moments, Mother Kali recognized Lord Shiva and the anger of Mother Kali calmed down, then Kali Mata stopped the carnage.

According to mythology: -

It is said that wherever the parts of the mother fell, Shaktipeeths were formed like:-
  • (1) Hinglaj due to collapse of Brahmarandhra
  • (2) Shakambhari Devi by falling head
  • (3) Vindhyavasini
  • (4) Purnagiri
  • (5) Volcano
  • (6) Mahakali etc became Shaktipeeths

It is said that some of the toes of the right foot of Maa Sati fell at this place.
